Double episode of the Ealing Trailfinders 1871 podcast launches ahead of season kick-off

With the 2025-26 campaign kicking off today, supporters can enjoy a double helping of the Ealing Trailfinders 1871 Podcast as excitement builds for the opening weekend.

In the first of the two new episodes, head coach Phil ‘Smudger’ Smith shares his thoughts on pre-season, reflecting on the squad’s progress, the hard graft that has gone in behind the scenes, and the ambitions for the year ahead. He also discusses how last season’s success provides a platform for another memorable campaign.

The second episode features first XV skipper Lewis Steadman, who enters his fourth season as captain. Steadman talks about the energy in the squad, the integration of new teammates, and the responsibility of leading the side into another big year.

Both episodes are available now and offer a perfect way to get into the matchday spirit before Ealing 1871 kick off their season at Vallis Way on Saturday 6 September, with the 1st XV hosting UCS at 15.00. Unfortunately, the scheduled 3rd XV fixture against Harrow has been called off.
